I had the good fortune to attend graduate school at John F. Kennedy University and receive an M.A. degree in counseling psychology from their School for the Study of Human Consciousness. I say good fortune because the school’s program was a study of my deep interest in the interplay and connection between spirituality and psychology.  I have been licensed in California as a Marriage and Family Therapist since January 2000.

In addition to working as a therapist, I am also licensed as a Certified Public Accountant and have worked as a tax accountant since the mid 1970’s. I appreciate the balance that working in these very different fields provides me. I also served the Nevada County Superior Court as a mediator for their family court for several years.

I work exclusively with couples and individual adults. Helping them find resolution to their struggles and to move through their difficulties is enormously rewarding to me.  Although I have worked with a variety of presenting issues, I’ve come to see that the issues we often struggle with are about relationships, whether with others or with oneself, and it is in this area that I find myself most often working with people.

Originally from the Los Angeles area, I continue to love being outdoors in these beautiful Sierra Nevada mountains and have made the Tahoe Truckee area my home since 1975.
